Bequests

Bequests
Joe and Anna have been faithful supporters of their local church throughout their lives. They believe their church is making an impact in their community which has fallen on difficult times in recent years with the closure of a local factory where many people were employed.

Joe: Anna and I believe our church is a touchstone for the community. The past few years have been difficult for so many people, we want to do our part to help how we can. That is why we make giving to the church a priority.

Anna: But we know that we are getting older and we have started to plan more for our legacy. Joe and I have been so fortunate and careful and have been able to save enough for retirement. We certainly want to leave something to our children and grandchildren, but we also have the ability to be generous with our church.

Joe: After talking it over, we decided to leave a bequest in each of our wills to the church. The process of adding the bequest was straightforward and our attorney was able to add the language easily when we updated our wills this year.
